About Old City Coffee Cart
Old City Coffee Cart is the result of more than ten years learning what coffee can and should be.
Our journey began on mission trips to Guatemala, where we first met coffee farmers and visited local cafes. We saw its connection to people, place, and livelihood, and it reshaped how we think about sourcing and responsibility.
That passion followed us home to East Tennessee, where we opened our first coffee shop in Corryton. There, we learned the rhythms of hospitality and service to the community.
From Corryton, we moved to Johnson City, where we began roasting our own coffee. That chapter deepened our craft and gave us full ownership of the coffee we serve.
Eventually, we found our way back to Knoxville and into the Old City. With its layered history and creative energy, it felt like the natural place to bring everything together.
Old City Coffee Cart was born from that return — a mobile expression of our story and our commitment to hospitality and community.
Today, we cater specialty coffee roasted in-house to weddings, events, and corporate gatherings across East Tennessee.

Inspired by Knoxville’s Old City, we roast coffee the old-school way—by feel, by instinct, and with a deep respect for the farms that make it possible. Our beans come from biodiverse, bird-friendly regions that protect both land and livelihood.
